Feeds Are Nice

Feeds are nice. Here is an incomplete list of reasons why feeds are nice:

1. Feeds have specifications (RSS, Atom, JSON Feed)
2. Feeds are finished technology, they want for no features
3. Feeds are easy to create and maintain
4. Feeds are fast and scalable
5. Feeds can be downloaded for offline reading
6. Feeds are chronological lists, not algorithmic lists
7. Feeds do not track or surveil their readers (usually)
8. Feeds contain no advertising (usually)
9. Feeds contain no JavaScript
10. Feeds are infrastructure: they can be built upon
11. Feeds are links and links are nice
