Purpose

This website exists as some kind of incomplete public memory.

I am a person trying to make nice websites and–sometimes–other things. This is a place to publicly record that work and those other things (writing, reading, photography, art, software, and whatever else).

matthewhowell.net is not quite an archive or a catalog, it is simply a reference to help me remember. It exists at least as much for me as for anyone else.

The Web is the platform that I love the most and this is my small, personal contribution to it. Long live the small, slow, weird, indie web. May we all–forever–be the publishers of our own hypertext.
